Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota is working on an EV (electric vehicle) powered by solid-state batteries, which will have a range of about 1,200 km (750 mi) and will take only 10 minutes to fully charge the battery. Tesla’s Supercharger operated by Elon Musk covers a distance of about 200 miles in 15 minutes. The company said in its new technology roadmap on Tuesday that it also plans to introduce a high-performance lithium-ion battery for its next-generation EV by 2026.

Vehicle cruising range target of 1,000 km

According to the news, the battery will provide fast charging and a range of about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles). Toyota (Toyota fast charging car) said, we will achieve a vehicle cruising range of 1,000 kilometers through technology such as the integration of next-generation batteries and sonic technology. Last year, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its long-range Vision EQXX concept car, which traveled over 1,000 kilometers on a fully charged battery – the longest distance ever covered by an EV on a single charge .

Plan to be completely electric by 2030

According to the automaker (Toyota), the journey from Germany to the south of France began in cold and rainy conditions and was done at regular speeds on the road, including fast-lane cruising at 140 kmph. The automaker plans to go fully electric by 2030, targeting half of its global sales to include plug-in hybrids and EVs by 2025.
